Meet Dr. Saunders

Dr. Monica Witte Saunders was born and raised in Tyler, Texas. She is the second of six children and enjoys being part of a large family. Her interest in dentistry actually originates from her family. Working with her father, a periodontist in Tyler, Texas, and her uncle, a pediatric dentist in Arlington, Texas, solidified her decision to pursue a career in the dental field.

After graduation from the University of Texas at Arlington in 1995, Monica went on to earn her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, graduating in the top of her class. From there, she completed her advanced education in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics at Loma Linda University in California, a highly competitive program which accepted only two out-of-state applicants the year she was admitted. Here, she obtained a Master of Science degree through the completion of her thesis, a clinical study on absolute anchorage in orthodontics.

Dr. Saunders and her husband, Jeff, are proud parents of two sons, Grant and Brice. Outside of work, Monica enjoys reading, music, and spending time with her family.
